Kota Kinabalu Minister Brings Romans 5 to Youth

The church minister led a deeply moving Bible study session on the Book of Romans chapter 5, unpacking the theme of suffering and hope through faith in Jesus Christ. The message was shared in two sessions on Tuesday: an afternoon gathering with University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) foundation students.

In the meetings, Josephine emphasized Romans 5:3-5, where the Apostle Paul writes, “We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” She encouraged the students to reflect on the purpose behind their trials and to view suffering not as punishment but as a process through which God refines and strengthens faith.

The afternoon session with the UMS students was filled with sincere questions and heartfelt sharing.

The sessions concluded in prayer, asking for the Holy Spirit to help each participant develop perseverance and trust in God’s promises even amidst hardship.
